M13 Hercules Great Globular Cluster from OkiTex Se...

The first night of the 2017 OkieTex Star Party was extremely clear up until about 1am on Sunday Morning. After I got my polar alignment done with the PoleAlign camera, I wanted to check the roundness of stars out to 10 minute exposures. So to not waste time on one star, I put it on M13 and shot about an hour worth of data. It turns out this this resulted in one of the best M13 pictures that I have taken. I will include a close up and a wider field versions. In the wider field version, you can see in the background two galaxies and in the close up only one galaxies.
M13 is second only to NGC5139 Globular that is usually too far south to image most of the year. M13 is said to have about 500K stars but I have never counted them, just kidding.

Enjoy.

Your usual superb work Aubrey! The star color is amazingly good.
