Hey Everyone,
Thought I'd ring my bell a little today. I recently posted an image that I took of comet C/2023 A3 Tuschinshan ATLAS to the Spaceweather site.
https://spaceweather.com/
You might want to check it out today, because they'll usually post a new image daily.
I've posted many in the past, which were much better images of comets, but this one made their front page only because of the building interest of this comet. It's now climbing higher each night in the east and is well up by 10 pm. It will be diving towards the Sun later this Summer and become, what many expect, a very bright comet as it emerges in our western skies in October.
Attached is the image that I posted. It was taken Sunday with a very bright Moon nearby. I couldn't take very long exposures. This was a combination of 4x30 seconds + 7x20 seconds at 1600 ios with my Canon T4i and the 12.5" Newt. Actually, I had just made some adjustments to my polar alignment and just wanted to image the something to check it out.
