Astrophotography

All sky photography
StarmanDan

While probably technically not true AP, I have been toying around with a Raspberry Pi based all sky camera for a while now and have recently felt confident enough in it to put it permanently on my roof. This morning it captured its first bolide. Exposures are 45 sec taken every minute. This is enough to clearly see the Milky Way and make out stars down to around 4th magnitude. I still need to figure out optimal dark frames as I think the ones I took are over correcting, creating the dark splotches.
