PJMO Conditions
Author Last Post

Hey Dean,  Sorry about my confusion with your message to Willie.  I didn't fully read it thoroughly enough, and thought it was Willie responding about an up coming occultation event.  And, I should of known, because Willie is leaving town on the 11th. Just after I hit send, I realized what I did.

The event is June 13 at 06:17 UT or 1:17 AM CDT.  PJMO lies in the northern part of the path, and I figured Willie might be able to use the 24" to either try a video, or do a visual, since the star is about 11th magnitude.

Thanks, Johnny

Willie,

I plan to be in town for just a few days, starting June 4th.
I possibly could help with observing.
Will you be at the Member S. P.?

We are currently 90% cloud cover, 79 degrees F, 84% humidity, wind light and variable.
The National Weather Service forecast, updated at 1950 UTC, reads:
A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. South southeast wind around 5 mph.
I am doing calibration files in preparation for observing should conditions improve.

Thanks for offering to help.  I'm not sure if I'll make it to the S.P. or not.  We have a family reunion that Sat, and I don't know when we'll be back.

This is a 10.9 mag. star.  Will you be trying a video on the 24" or doing a visual?

Good luck Willie. I was just drawing out deck plans for the sky pod. I watched the assembly videos. I saw what the dome lock bolts look like. They didn't give the size but mentioned some of the bolts are SAE. However, I have found some of the nuts to be metric.
