Here is the full size (except for a little crop on the edges which overlapped from stacking) of a new attempt at processing. Again, just the RGB files.

Willie,

Please pardon me if I have already replied, but that is a GREAT image. Any reasonable astrophotographer would be proud to claim it!

Congratulations on your entry to a never-ending black hole of frustration and joy.

I took 5 x 5 min each of LRGB & Ha on M33 centered around 3am on Thursday morning.  These were taken with my SBIG 2000 and Baader filters on my William Optics 132 FLT.

For this image I calibrated, combined and aligned the images using AstroImageJ.  Then I used Fits Liberator for the initial stretch and save to tiff, followed by RGB stretching and combination with Photoshop.  For this version, I did not use my L or Ha frames.  Then I opened the file in Nebulosity and did a bit more processing, 2x2 adaptive binning and saved as a jpg.

I intend to work on another version using the L & Ha frames.

Willie

Looks like your best image so far. It’s a very good job.

The uploaded image was just 640x480 jpg. I have done a new version that is a better, I think. I will post the higher resolution image this time.

Hi Willie, that is an excellent image. I can not blow it up for some reason but it has good color, etc.

Thanks for sharing
